A 2nd Cup is Houston’s only non-profit coffee shop dedicated to ending human trafficking through awareness, partnership and aftercare. All dollars raised through Team Njörd’s TSP DIY marathon go directly to support aftercare programs for survivors of human trafficking. These funds will specifically assist in transitioning their culinary job training program to a virtual format and allow A 2nd Cup to provide distance learning to survivors of trafficking walking the path to flourishing self-independence through sustainable healthy employment. We are grateful and motivated to run for this fight.

For more than fifteen years, LEAD has provided essential skills and opportunities to children living in the most disenfranchised areas in Houston. LEAD’s Saturday program and yearly summer camp provide students a unique opportunity to grow through activities, service projects, and field trips. In the summer, the students experience a wilderness adventures. They learn the values of teamwork, community, friendship, and perseverance. The summer camp paves the way for students to apply social-emotional lessons beyond the classroom. Njord's annual Race to Camp 5K raises funds to fully sponsor these students. Our mission to help every student experience the joy of summer camp and create memories that they will carry on for the rest of their lives.
